Draft bust Justin Gilbert suspended four games by NFL, report says

Has Justin Gilbert gone from bust to busted?

The free-agent cornerback, a 2014 first-round pick Cheap Blackhawks Jerseys cut twice in three years, has been suspended for the first four weeks of the 2017 season, NFL Network reported, citing unidentified sources. A separate NFL Network report said the suspension was due to violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

Drafted eighth overall by the Browns but released after two seasons and then cut again this offseason by the Steelers, Gilbert, 25, has yet to catch on with another team. Thursday’s news likely won’t help.

In 35 games, Gilbert has 36 tackles and one interception.

Williams hasn’t been effective since 2014 and limped to the finish line last year with a career-low 1.5 sacks. He made a hefty salary as the top overall draft pick in 2006 Cheap Flag Football Jerseys and then broke the bank with the Bills on a ludicrous contract. That said, it’s doubtful he wants to play for $1 million-$2 million, which means he might not play in 2017.

Odrick had one of many overvalued contracts signed by the Jaguars over the last few seasons. He missed 10 games last year, but that was the first time he missed any games since 2010. He’s versatile and, if healthy, will probably be added to a team in need of situational help on the defensive line. He shouldn’t cost much and could be a good addition to a contender.
