Jake Locker could make his return this week when the Tennessee Titans host the San Francisco 49ers. Head coach Mike Munchak said Friday that a decision will be made Saturday Cheap Original Soccer Jerseys whether to start Locker or Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback.
Locker was able to return to practice this week after missing the Titans’ last two games with a hip injury he suffered in Week 4 against the New York Jets. Projections had the quarterback returning after the team’s bye next week, but Locker has reportedly progressed well enough to potentially take over for Fitzpatrick sooner than expected. Munchak confirmed that Locker took more reps than Fitzpatrick in practice Friday.
Spiller has played through an ankle injury in the Bills’ past two games but remains questionable on the team’s official injury list. All indications are that Spiller will suit up today, but with or without an injury to the playmaker, Buffalo will continue to platoon at RB with Fred Jackson.
Locker suffered an injury to his right hip and knee in Tennessee’s Week 4 win over the New York Jets and has missed the past two games as a result. It was thought that Locker might miss a month or more while recovering, but the Titans’ QB has participated in practice this week and appears to be a game-time decision for this afternoon’s contest with San Francisco. If Locker — who had been having a breakout season prior to the injury — is unable to play today, Ryan Fitzpatrick would get the starting nod for the third consecutive week.
In my opinion, Smith has been, hands down, our best CB this season. And he’s done Cheap Old Basketball Jerseys his job quietly, it seems. If he keeps up this kind of play, he should surely get selected to the Pro Bowl this year. Let’s take a look at the numbers, because numbers are good. Our boys over at Pro Football Focus have Smith graded at a 7.7, which is good for the 5th best grade at the CB position. Through the first six games this year, QB’s have a 41.3 QB rating when throwing Smith’s way, which is also good for 5th best in the league (for guys that have played at least 112 snaps).
